The book opens with a glimpse at a fairy tale about a princess and the thirteenth fairy; it then switches to Filomena, an ordinary girl living in California, leading a sheltered life, who is more than anxious to get her copy (on opening day) of the thirteenth book in the Never After series. She gets to the bookstore, only to find the book is never going to arrive. Never. Leaving, very disappointed, she senses someone is following her . . . . .

I wasn't sure if I would like this book or not, but I was drawn in from the beginning. It is a twist on fairy tale and real world meeting, and I love the idea that the fairy tale was a real life book series. I am anxious to see who is following Filomena, and based on the book intro, she is in for some real changes!
