I love books that highlight girls who are excited about reading! This spoke to me instantly, as I was that girl-chomping at the bit to read the latest in a book series.
The book begins with an excerpt from the Never After series, alluding to a missing fairy. But then, it moves to a young girl, Filomena, who is anxiously awaiting the 13th and final book in the series. She is dismayed to learn that there is no book, and it won’t be published at all. Desolate, she leaves the bookstore, but senses someone following her.
This is a great premise for young adults who want to be swept up in a magical world of fairies and princesses, and want to cheer on a young protagonist such as Filomena. I would love to share this with my grandchildren and get lost in the world of Never After!
