I was super intrigued by Mother Knows Best. The hints of Abby's mysterious existence made me want to know more. Very good character building in such a short excerpt. I don't always love when a story is also told from a child's point of view, but Abby's voice was accurately young sounding. And the mother's anxiety issues amped up the tension. I'm definitely curious for more!
