This book has a creepy and intriguing concept that made me reconsider my usual dislike of thrillers. However, after reading the excerpt, I'm not so sure this book would be for me. While I definitely think people could easily love this book, I was unable to connect with it in such a short sample. My biggest problem was honestly how bratty Abigail comes across. While probably unfair on my part as she's going through something difficult, she just kinda put me off the rest of the book.
