It does exactly what a good thriller is supposed to in the first few pages, it introduces the reader to characters that are likable and human and then inserts some nagging doubt as to their well being and their history. You instantly wonder what has them so scared and worried. It makes you want to read more and I can see this being a book that is hard to put down.
