The idea is really interesting and intriguing and the book is obviously set up as a solid standard thriller, but I was hoping it would lean more into the sci-fi elements of the plot. It looks like it’s headed into a standard thriller direction, but hopefully the author will take advantage of their unique premise and delve more into the details of genetic experimentation and mutation, as well as other science-fiction elements, to make this book really stand out from the pack. I’m excited to see what direction it goes in, and hope it reaches it’s full potential in whatever sub-genre it falls into.
