I was immediately drawn into the story which speaks to this sample's quality, because I did not read the background on it until after reading the sample. The concept is unique and I love that it seems like it is told from both the "parent" and child point of views. I am especially intrigued to see how the arc regarding genetic manipulation plays out and to reflect on the book's influence on my opinion regarding the ethical dilemmas surrounding this issue.
I don't dislike the cover and after reading the sample I totally understand why the hair is being utilized I just don't love the braid and would be intrigued to see other designs.
