From the opening line of this book, I was eerily enchanted. Mr.Tender and Alice remind me of the first time I discovered Tokyo Ghoul and instead of being grossed out by the gore and the violence I reveled in it. In that aspect I understand the fanbase Alice touches base on.
As I was only given a small taste of Mr. Tender, all I can say is brace yourselves and read this with the lights on or your t.v. chattering in the background, this character is so lifelike it is almost as if he's reaching out from the pages of the book itself to carry on his carnal adventures left undone.
Alice is a strong heroine with a dark past, shes admirable in the fact that while scarred and scared by her father's devious creation she keeps pushing forward and kicking ass if I do say so myself.
