This book was deliciously c-r-e-e-p-y!!! I love suspenseful thrillers and Mister Tender's Girl did not disappoint! The book was dark, creepy and downright hair-raising! The twisted plot moved at a nice pace and once I started I was hooked. And yes, the story is slightly based on the actual case of a teen who intended to sacrifice her friend to win the favor of an online fictional character called Slenderman. For me, it makes the story even more uncanny. Most of the characters are a bit complex, but I really liked Alice the protagonist in this story. When things got nasty and dangerous, homegirl took action immediately! I'm a sucker for bad ass heroines and thankfully Wilson delivers. I honestly felt my heart racing a few times. Yup it's that eerie. Don't believe me? Go on then and see for yourself. Just make sure you leave the lights on for this one!
