This book is very loosely based on a true thing that happened in Wisconsin. In that case 2 teens tried to murder another "friend" teen girl but she survived and it was in the name of SlenderMan. This is the only true piece of the whole book. This story has the same principle but it is 10 years later and the fictional characters name is Mr. Tender. The story was ok. I enjoyed the majority of it but the ending left me not liking the book at all. The two girls get let out of jail and they are in their own hell but nothing like Alice who suffered at the hand of the 2 girls. The story was a little far fetched and there were about 2 other stories going on at the same time. It was an ok book.
