Honestly this book was outside my zone of creepiness I enjoy, so I did not finish it. I think knowing the real story it is based on was a detriment as well, because I already knew how evil the people who committed this crime were. It was also more graphic in the violence than I prefer. That part I could have skimmed through, but with the constant sense of foreboding of the main character I just couldn't stay with it. The writing definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, but just too scary and creepy for me. If you like horror you will probably like it and it will definitely have you looking over your shoulder! While I personally couldn't get through it I will definitely recommend it to horror fans and true crime fans.
