Creepy and disturbing but so good!
So I didn't realize when I got this book that it was loosely based on the "Slenderman" murders from a few years back. Had I known that I honestly may not have requested this book because Slenderman creeped me the heck out! However, I would have missed out on a seriously good thriller if I had!
As I started reading and realized the parallels I almost gave up on the book, but I quickly realized I just couldn't put it down. The characters sucked me in right away and Mister Tender is a perfectly creepy.
I would say that this is a thriller, but it verges on being horror due to the creep-factor and the graphic nature of the story. So maybe not for all thriller fans, but I think definitely a great one for horror fans.
