The title of this book caught my eye and I'm glad I read the preview. The writing sucks you in quickly. The plot brings to mind the fairly recent Slender Man news stories, which immediately makes your skin crawl and you step into the story.
I didn't always love how the author brought in details from the main character's past. At some points it felt a little clunky (as if they had to find a way to stick in all those details at once instead of naturally integrating them in the story), but with such a short preview it's hard to tell if that ultimately could be the best approach.
Regardless, this is a book I'll definitely pick up once it's available. I'm very intrigued and can't wait to see where the story goes!
