A bit mindnumbing.

A little about myself: I am not a fan of true crime. This book is told very similarly to the true crime case in which young girls attempted to kill their friend to impress the folklore cryptid known as Slenderman. We have Mr. Tender which is quite similar to the creepy all-knowing forest dweller known as Slenderman. We have practically the same case, but fictionalized for a character who survives the attack and then grows up, seemingly still haunted by this evil creature.

We do not receive a thrilling thriller. We have something that reminds me more of a cheesy satirical horror movie. Actually, this reminds me of Scream in every possible way, except that I love Scream and I do not like this. Sorry. Just not a fan.
