This is the second of this kind of "first look" review that I have done and it is the first of this kind of review that I was frustrated that I couldn't continue! I was puled in slowly at first, the level of paranoia that Alice described seemed overdone but as the story began to build--it fit. Now, I want to know how Jimmy, Mister Tender, the man from the coffee shop... all of it fits together.
Okay, I'm ready for the book to be published so that I can read the rest.
The cover art seems a little bit of a letdown for how good of a book it was turning into. I know, I know, don't judge a book by the cover... but I did. And because of it I almost didn't even do the "First Look"--it would have been my loss but how much will and could that happen after publication?
