The character of Alice grabbed my attention on page one and didn't let go. Alice is both physically and emotionally scarred from a violent encounter when she was just a teenager. Unfortunately for Alice, I see more bad thing coming her way. This is going to be one of those books that are hard to put down, and I can't wait! This was my first encounter with this author and it won't be my last. What is better than a thrilling mystery with a complex main character who I am already rooting for.
