Creepy, but distracting writing style

This first look does a good job laying down the foundation for the main character's paranoia and how her life has been shaped by her past trauma. Unfortunately, the author has fallen into the all-to-typical trap of suspenseful writing and uses incomplete sentences in an attempt to build a certain atmosphere. This is a pet peeve of mine and immediately through me out of the book. It still seems like an interesting idea, and for those who not bothered by this tick, it might be a good read for them!
