Nice of the author to grant a millennial individual responsibility and a fascinating back story! The first person narrative accomplishes the task of luring the reader into a world that is highly possible, nearly average until revealed of what it's like to survive a Slenderman-like stabbing. The knife theme works geographically with the amount of stabbings but the story is equally well told without the glaring labeling of Muslims. No race or religion needs finger-pointing in the current environment and I'm never a fan of subtle tactics to further promote racism. Elsewise the single girl, sole survivor of a horrible story and is further stalked is engaging and nicely paced. However, this reader would enjoy some cultural sensitivity editing.
