Mercury is a small town with a lot of folks that have a lot to say. When Marley and her mom arrive after leaving quickly from their previous town. Marley meets up with the Joseph family and becomes a part of it. First with one brother and then with another. when Marley ends up pregnant, with Waylons baby, the town has a lot of thoughts. Marley and Waylon get married and their life begins.
The Joseph family roofing business becomes Marleys focus as a way to help her family as well as her husbands. Everyone in the family seems to have secrets, including Marley. As the story goes on the secrets start to come out and it is surprising as to who knows what, feels what and did what.
Marley is the main character and she is a force to be reckoned with. I love the way she took on the family members, the town, others opinions and the families ideas of what she should be.
