This book isn't that bad, but the plot just didn't draw me in like with a super good book. I had to force myself to read it, like it was a chore. In the end, I DNFed at about 1/3 of the way through, shortly after Marley gives birth to Theodore Shay.

This book is set a while back, in a small town called Mercury, out in the middle of nowhere. Marley eats with the Josephs (also, how does this happen, do people just invite strangers to eat with them?) until she breaks up with Baylor. Soon after, she falls in love with his brother Waylon, getting pregnant in the process. Her mom Ruth gets fired, going to a new town and leaving Marley behind, and she delivers her baby alone, with only Waylon's mom and brother by her side.

I did not like this book a lot. It felt unrealistic, and there was way too much drama over this and that. I don't know if it gets better, because I couldn't push through and finish the book - it was too boring.
