I LOVED Mercury. I was lucky enough to join a buddy read and I stayed up until 2am to finish this book. I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
I was completely immersed in this book. The characters and the town felt so real to me and I was so sad when I finished because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. I still think about the characters more than a month later.
It's sad yet hopeful, heartbreaking and heartwarming. So many characters are living a life that might not have been the one they hoped for or took a different path than what they expected. Reading it made me a bit melancholy because it's just so difficult to change your life when so many decisions or actions led you to where you are. Ultimately, it's a story of love and forgiveness, of trying again and making the effort to love the life you have even if it's not what you originally wanted.
