I am such a sucker for these family dramas. I love how this book explores all of the relationships involved--those between Marley and Baylor, and then Waylon--but also those between the parents and children, and the siblings with each other. I also think it's really cool and creative that the family roofing business is such a part of the book (even down to the cover art!) because that's a plot device that I feel like you don't see that often, especially in this type of book. This book has it all--romance, mystery, drama, and secrets--even a murder! The characters are very well developed and I really cared about finding out what would happen to them. It's also really interesting to think about why Marley is so taken with the family, because that's an essential lens through which to understand her feelings and actions throughout the book. I definitely recommend this book! Writing this review makes me want to read it again.
