Mercury is a fantastic character-driven story about Marley and the Joseph brothers. It starts with Marley arriving in Mercury as a teenager and noticing 3 men on a roof, little does she know that she will become an important part of all their lives and families. I enjoyed the jumping around in time, it is a unique and engaging way to tell a story. This is a story about family and secrets. As the story chugs on we learn about the roofing business that is the center of the Joseph family and we also learn a lot more about the secrets the Joseph family is hiding. It has great character depth even though a few of them were kind of awful people. Every story has to have a few loathsome characters. The writing style works for me. Like I said I enjoy timejump stories so that works, but it is also written with a simple flair that I adored. I loved this one and cannot wait to read more by this author.
