Family dynamics
Thank you to Amy Jo Burns, Celadon Books and Bookish First for an ARC of Mercury. I don't give away spoilers in my reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed Mercury from the first page. Al though Marley was the main character, I found myself drawn to the Joseph brothers over her. I also loved Elise's story of struggles and appreciated how thorough her story was explained especially in the end.
Baylor, the oldest, was my favorite character in Mercury. I don't give away spoilers so I will say he had the most growth of any character for me and I enjoyed watching him learn to put others first. Waylon was a joy to read and I loved his romantic side with Marley. Shay was sad for me, probably because I had a feeling how his story would go. I think he had the hardest struggle of all of the characters.
I hated the dad, Mick. And I'm pretty sure he was intended to be a hated character. Not much to like there but he certainly added alot to the history of the story.
Elise's story was very interesting to me and I appreicate that the author explained her story completely in the end.
Although I may have wanted parts of the story to end differently, I think it all ended just how it should have.
