This is a very character driven story. I was so curious where it was going. It was going really well until the end switched perspectives. It was then changing and going to backstories from the other characters perspective over things we already learned about. It honestly just pulled me out of the story and made it confusing. I think if you enjoy more character driven stories over a plot driven story, you would enjoy this one.
It’s all about a family and how they come to be and the dynamics between them. The brothers have a huge competition between them. Their father is kind of awful. And their mother keeps them all together. I think the women show how strong they are and how necessary women are to the family. They’re integral and are the glue to keeping everyone together.
