Review:
"Mercury" surprises with a blend of family drama, coming of age, literary, romance, and a dash of murder. The writing is simple yet captivating, exploring themes of resiliency, growth, and secrecy. Two women, Elise and Marley, share a town, a house, love interests, and the trials of raising families.

The story's first half unfolds slowly, occasionally losing my attention, but the second half grabs with more intensity. Characters' choices frustrated me, yet Marley's annoyance with the Joseph family's web of lies resonated. The whole cast seemed adept at avoiding truth like a game of hide-and-seek.

"Mercury" offers a rollercoaster ride through family dynamics, murder, and tangled secrets. While pacing may waver, the mystery keeps you guessing. If you enjoy characters keeping you on your toes, "Mercury" is your ticket.

Kudos to Burns for crafting a tale dancing on the edge of frustration and fascination. Can't wait for the next twists and turns! 🌪️📚
