We meet Marley West the day she and her mother Ruth arrive in Mercury. Shortly after her arrival she meets the Joseph family. Elise and her three sons Baylor, Waylon and Shay as well as their father McKay. They run a family roofing business. Though she soon develops a crush on the oldest son Baylor it soon becomes apparent that Waylon is her first love. When first love leads to a young marriage Marley soon becomes not only mother to her son Theo but sister and mother figure to all the Joseph men. Though never the daughter figure she hoped to become to Elise. Still she manages to help the Joseph family while creating her own. She also helps with the roofing business and helps her friend Jade create a business of her own. But soon tragedy and secrets threaten to tear apart the family and business and shake the small town of Mercury to its core. Now Marley and the Joesph family have to decide what to rebuild and what to let go. And they also learn that sometimes something can be built back stronger than before it was broken.
