I didn't intend to read this book in a single day but once I started it, there was no putting it down. This was there perfect family drama to start my new year with. Marley grows up constantly moving with her single mother but once she meets the Josephs all she wants is a permanent seat at their family dinner table. She starts out dating one brother but her role in the family morphs quickly until she is a part of all of their lives and the family business that sustains and wounds them all. However as Marley grows and changes she realizes that everything she thought she wanted might not be exactly what she needed and that family relations are more complicated than she ever expected. Told from different perspectives, giving added depth to the overarching secrets and hurts that make up a family history, this book was full of surprises- not only regarding the body in the church but also how quickly I could grow to care for almost every member of the Joseph family. Whole heartedly recommend.
