The book is giving me vague "Legends of the Fall" vibes for those who are familiar with the movie, only set in contemporary times and involving a roofing family as opposed to a ranching one. I was not a particular fan of that movie, and I am afraid I am not a particular fan of this book either. Just seems it will have too much melancholy and "the one that got away" feelings for me to be comfortable with.
