I am not one to read books about small town family dynamics and this novel was not too bad. I would say that this novel would work even for someone like me who does not see this as their kind of read. I was drawn in by the name Mercury along with the image on the cover of the book. They seem to be widely different but after reading this excerpt, the two together makes more sense.
