The set of characters in this story have some complicated personalities. Marley as a young girl seems to be adrift without a clear sense of herself. The same could be said of Baylor. The Joseph family members are held together by a strong mother, Elise. Marley’s mother Ruth appears to be a strong lady also.
I think this will prove to be a character driven book, and I wonder which of the characters have something to do with the corpse found in the attic.
