Amy Jo Burns blew me away with her debut novel, Shiner. While the synopsis of Mercury hasn’t called to me in the same way that he previous book did, I am still eager to read it. Of course, her prose is rich, poetic, and emotive. It’s exactly the type of writing I live for. I feel like any story will shine in her capable hands. She knows how to paint imagery that brings a story to life.
