I don't know what it is about this, but something about the writing just didn't quite do it for me. I will say I'm not typically a YA reader OR a person who enjoys historical fiction ESPECIALLY when it's directed to YA readers, so that's probably it but I just wasn't drawn in at all. Wasn't a fan of our narrator so sadly a no.
