I'll read anything when it comes to the Titanic. I still find this story fascinating many years later. However, this was not your typical Titanic read. First, the storyline follows two British-Chinese twins, Valora and Jamie who are acrobat artists. Valora smuggles herself onto the Titanic right before it sets sail from Britain. The beginning of the story is very well-written and descriptive as it tells us about Velora's struggle to get on the ship and locate her brother. I think that a lot of people have skewed perceptions of the Titanic and who all was actually on board the ship. This story focuses on characters that audiences would not traditionally think of when it comes to the Titanic. It would be a pleasure to be selected for a first read of this one!
