Luck of the Titantic is historical fiction/YA with a biracial (British Chinese) 17-year-old protagonist. Valora Luck sneaks onto the Titanic when she's turned away at the first-class gangway, because of the Chinese Exclusion Act. She's there to find her brother (who's there working) and move elsewhere following the death of her employer.
I hadn't heard much about this one and wasn't particularly excited for it, but the story drew me right in. I didn't want the excerpt to end!
