Imagine getting on a boat to go thousands of miles from home -- only to find out that once you get to your destination, you will not be allowed to enter because of your ethnicity. How will these characters deal with this unjustified rejection when they want to start new lives? My guess is that they will find a way around it --- but by doing that, can they be true to themselves?
