From the moment I saw the cover of this book and read the title Luck of the Titanic I knew I had to read it. I've been a fan of the Titanic and it's History ever since I was given a copy of a 1986 issue of National Geographic magazine when I was 10. The issue's cover story was about Robert Ballard finding the ship. Now I read every book about the ship, fiction or nonfiction, I can. As I've read stories of the ship they always mention the 1st and 2nd class passengers but they hardly ever mention the 3rd class or crew. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this story about Val who could have been a passenger on the ship.
