The idea behind this book is so great, I never even knew there had been Chinese passengers aboard the Titanic, let alone that some had survived. The cover is absolutely STUNNING, so pretty and I love the colors. The writing, however, feels very young adult-y to me and I was hoping for something different, especially given the story it’s hoping to tell. For me the narrator just sounds too childish for me and this stopped me from getting fully immersed into this book. It’s a sad pass for me but I’m sure others will love this.
