Chinese woman aboard the doomed Titanic

this is the historical-fiction story of a Chinese woman aboard the doomed Titanic. protagonist's name is Valora Luck. engaging from the first few pages with awareness of class and race dynamics aboard the ship, including Chinese Exclusion Act present as early as page 5. Valora is immediately compelling & well-developed, as she sneaks aboard to reunite w/ her twin, hoping to work for a circus together in the US. I hope to read the remaining LUCK OF THE TITANIC as soon as possible.
