This cover seems to give the book the same vibes as a cheesy romance novel. It doesn’t have much detail and honestly looks pretty becoming. It doesn’t look too professional either; it honestly gives off self-published vibes. However, the choice of including the the title of the author’s other work, “The Kissing Booth” was a good move. Although I’m personally not a fan of the novel, it serves to draw in readers who are.
The premise also hits a bit to close to home. In all honesty, most people aren’t very interested in reading books that relate to the current social climate. I get a bit uncomfortable reading about characters that are in such similar social situations, so having the title of the book even include the word “lockdown” turns me off significantly. Other than that, book looks like something that might be interesting to specific people (but just completely turns off topic everyone else).
