This book was such a pleasant surprise. It was beautifully written and I found the story to be engaging and interesting. Cohen Marah finds the body of his father in their place of work and believes him to be dead. What follows is Cohen's attempt to make sense of his father's death and make peace with a traumatic event from his past. Fraught with themes of abandonment and grief, Cohen takes the reader on a journey through his often times tumultuous childhood. While trying to sort through his memories and discover what is real and what isn't, Cohen is also struggling with what he wants to do with his future. At the heart of this story is the flawed, yet loving relationship Cohen has with his father.
