This book was a slight struggle for me. I had a lot trouble getting attached to the characters and seeing the story come to life. There are a lot of religious moments and overtones throughout the book which was hard for me to retain.
The storyline was a good idea and unique there was just something that couldn’t click for me. I also enjoy when the author switches the timelines between past and present. I felt by doing this he was able to cleanly tie up all the loose ends.
There have been a lot of positive reviews for this book so I would definitely say to give it a shot if you’re interested, it just wasn’t necessarily for me
