I am so glad i got the opportunity to read this book! It is the first book i have read by Shawn Smucker and surely will not be my last. It pulled me in right from the beginning and didn't let go till the end! I loved every minute of it! There are many twists and turns as the story develops. This is a story about a father and son's relationship and how it plays out as the father is dying. It takes you thru the past and present as they continue to collide I could not stop reading this book! The style of writing is very engaging and kept me all the way thru. Shawn is very descriptive in his writing and makes you feel the emotion of the story. From the first page to the last, Light from Distant Stars is a very captivating book and i'm sure it will not disappoint!
