This book starts off too slow for me, without impression of a big payoff. I do not mind books that start off slow if there is evidence that is gradually builds and crescendos into something worth waiting for (like watching a cake baking through the oven door). I got the impression that this book just stayed that pace throughout the story, and that is something that does not interest me.
