I am always hesitant about books that start chapters with Bible verses. Either the book is going to try to shove religion on you, or it is going to try and bash religion. Thankfully, this book appears to not be going in either of those directions. It starts off with a good bit of tension and then takes you back in time (I imagine there will be a lot of time jumping in this) to help set the scene.

The writing is fluid and descriptive, helping to easily set a scene. The main character, Cohen, is enjoyable to follow around.
