The Kiss Quotient is full of diversity in a way that needs to become a larger part of the book market in that Hoang writes her characters such that “diverse” is the new “normal”. Where ethnicity, profession, gender, disabilities do not define the characters and that which may have once labeled them as “different” fades into the background behind their utter relatability. Their character and their flaws are by far the most interesting things about them.
The Kiss Quotient is a sexy, smart, novel that fully immerses you from page one. I felt the main characters struggles as if they were my own and I considered that a true gift of Hoang’s writing.
After this novel, I absolutely cannot wait to read anything and everything by this author.
