Full disclosure: I do not care for romance novels. That being said, I do read a good Nicholas Sparks book from time-to- time but never consider them to be phenomenal reads. I read this for a monthly book club and was intrigued because the main character has Autism. As a special education teacher, I was looking forward to reading a book and seeing the viewpoint of someone with Autism. The fact that this book includes people of color and a character with Autism were its only redeeming qualities. Otherwise, this was just another cheesy romance story. The storyline was mediocre and I did not invest in any of the characters. The other members of the book club did enjoy it more than me but my advice is to save your money, energy and time and pass this one up.
