Let me start by saying that this book is a bit smutty. It is probably my fault for not reading the reviews before purchasing it, but I try not to read the opinions of others before forming my own. I'm no prude, but the amount of sexual stuff in this novel made me cringe and honestly made it hard for me to get through this. It got a bit pornographic at times, which has its time and place and for me, this was not it.
After pushing past the sex and finishing the novel, I will say that it was a cute little romantic comedy, and the author's story about her own diagnosis made me appreciate how she wrote the main character and used her writing to come to terms with herself. Overall, if a quick and cute rom-com is something you're looking for (and you're fine with it being a little rated R at times), this is probably a great read for you. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me.
