This was a beautiful, inclusive story about the importance of patience and understanding in a relationship. Stella Lane is a brilliant economist who’s convinced she can’t find love due to her aspergers. Enter Michael Larsen, the charming, martial arts-trained, bad boy who moonlights as an escort. Though he has a strict no-repeat-session rule to go along with his secret life, he can’t help but bend the rules for Stella, who is different from all the women who have hired him in the past.
I absolutely adored this book! I love it when romances are a bit deeper and talk about real issues—this one goes into being neurodivergence, non-traditional families, Vietnamese culture, and class differences (to name a few things). I inhaled the book in one sitting and listened to the audiobook as well, which was fairly good as audiobooks go.
All in all, the heart and love poured into this book by the author makes it a romance you won’t want to skip.
