Is it just me or has there been a lot of high quality Asian-American romance lately? Maybe I'm just noticing it more, but I hope that the trend continues. Anyway, onto the review.
Librarian: Surprisingly, I will be recommending this one for purchase. We only stock a limited amount of adult fiction, but of the ones we do stock, romance is by far the most popular. And we desperately need more romance that is more Asian centered. The addition of a neuroatypical protagonist is just the icing on the cake.
Reader: This book checks all the right boxes as far as romance novels are concerned. Quirky protagonist? Check. Hunky guy? Check. Absolutely absurd romantic-comedy-esque premise? Check. If I were a romance fan, I'm sure I would adore it. As a non-fan, I found it a somewhat enjoyable diversion Not something I'll reread, but not something I regret reading either.
